Biography and Education

Biography

I support others in improving patients' health and well-being through excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. Additionally, I provide medical leadership for all clinical information systems and innovative technology, championing medical informatics to advance clinical quality.

As a key executive in developing and achieving UK HealthCare's information system strategic plan, I lead or participate in committees representing the physician community's needs and requirements and advocate for the use of information technology in the clinical setting.

During my tenure at UK HealthCare, I have held various roles. I have been a hospital medicine attending since 2011 and a core member of the medical informatics group for a decade. Currently, I serve as the CMIO, and I am also Epic’s certified physician builder and physician builder analyst. Notably, I had the opportunity to serve as the division chief of hospital medicine from 2019 to 2023, where I honed my leadership skills and managed a medical division.

My journey in the healthcare field began at the University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi, where I graduated. I furthered my education by earning a Master’s in Public Health from UT Houston and completing my Internal Medicine residency at Westlake Hospital in Chicago. To broaden my understanding of the business side of healthcare, I obtained a Master’s in Business Administration from the Gatton School of Business and Economics at UK.
