The Biostatistics Consulting and Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration Lab (BioStat CIRCL)
If you have statistical questions or would like help with research design, contact BioStat CIRCLE. Their goal is to work with University of Kentucky researchers to build effective research teams in order to optimize data-driven discoveries.
The Department of Internal Medicine has a contract with BioStat CIRCL for your use.
Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS)
The central part of the CCTS mission is preparing the next generation of clinical and translational researchers and supporting faculty in career development. They offer a wide-range of classes on their Education and Training page and additional programs and services can be found on their Services & Resources page.
Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO)
The CRSO supports investigators and clinical research study teams in departments, centers and colleges across campus to conduct clinical research. It offers support for the OnCore clinical trial management system, billing integrity and coverage analysis as well as finance and regulatory assistance in partnership with the CCTS.

Facilities
Research facilities at the University of Kentucky include clinical, translational and basic science spaces with numerous CORE faculties. The University of Kentucky provides comprehensive research facilities with infrastructure support from the Facilities Management team. Facilities Management is a service organization composed of units that plan, construct, manage, operate and maintain the physical assets (buildings, grounds and utility systems) of the university.
Research Financial Services
Research Financial Services prepares institutional reporting information for varying external organizations beyond sponsoring agencies. Some examples include, but are not limited to, the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) and Single Audit report; Homeland Security Grant Funding SEFA 7 report; Biomedical Research & Development Price Index (NIH) survey and the Higher Education Research and Development Survey (HERD/NSF). Our office also prepares and submits the Facilities and Administrate Rate calculation to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Cost Allocation Services (CAS) to establish the approved Facilities and Administrative rates allowable on sponsored projects.

Provides guidance throughout the research process (form proposal development, budget drafting, proposal submission, award activation and project closeout).

The ORI promotes ethical, compliant research by overseeing human/animal subject protections, research misconduct allegations and educational training.

Pharmacy
UK HealthCare Pharmacy Department adheres to strict accountability and control as specified by local, State and Federal agencies, Joint Commission and study sponsors.
Payor Administration for Investigational Device Exemption Studies
Researchers at UK participating in clinical trials with and without devices may require additional support and regulations to perform their research. The University provides several areas of support that including IRB, billing and operations. If researchers are starting from foundation, they can review policies from NIH and FDA.
