The College of Medicine Division of Medical Oncology, housed within the department of internal medicine, cares for adult patients with cancers of solid organs which include but are not limited to cancers of the lunggastrointestinal tract (colon, stomach and pancreas), breastgenitourinary system (prostate, bladder and kidney), head and neckskin, bone and muscle. In other words, we care for all cancers of the solid organs except hematologic (blood) and gynecologic cancers.

The medical oncology division strives to give the best medical cancer treatment options in the southeast, and we care for patients from throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and beyond.

The division is devoted to educating the public, medical students, residents, fellows, and most importantly our patients about the importance of treating cancer.
