About Us Medical Oncology
Driving Innovation in Cancer Care
The division of medical oncology in the University of Kentucky Department of Internal Medicine is dedicated to delivering exceptional cancer care and advancing research to improve treatment outcomes for solid tumor cancers, including genitourinary, breast, head and neck, thyroid, and lung cancers. From diagnosis through survivorship, our team provides comprehensive, compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs.
Our physicians practice within the nationally recognized Markey Cancer Center, Kentucky’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center, offering state-of-the-art therapies for more than 30 years.
For patient convenience, we offer specialized clinics such as the Comprehensive Breast Care Center and Multidisciplinary Clinic in the Whitney-Hendrickson Building, and our Head, Neck, and Respiratory Clinic in the Ben Roach Building—all designed to provide a comfortable environment with easy access and free parking.
We combine the latest advances in surgical, radiation, and chemotherapeutic interventions with a commitment to education and research. Our mission extends beyond treatment—we strive to educate patients, families, and future healthcare professionals while driving innovation in cancer care.
