Program Components
Program Structure
Our program offers a unique scheduling system. Residents spend two months on inpatient services ("In") followed by one month on an ambulatory clinic block ("Amb"). This structure remains in place for the entirety of residency and allows for a more predictable schedule and consistent continuity in ambulatory care.
Education
Our educational curriculum is intentionally designed to hone clinical reasoning, prepare for board exams and provide a foundation of practical skills that will aid in future career and clinical endeavors.

Integrated Tracks
Clinician Educator Track
This track equips residents with the tools necessary for clinician-educator roles and connect them with a community of faculty clinician-educators.
Hospital Medicine Track
This track provides senior residents who are interested in hospital medicine the opportunity to receive more in-depth education and training in QIPS, professional development and the business of medicine while providing 1:1 mentorship with hospitalist faculty.
Women's Health Track
This track equips residents with specialized women’s health training, research opportunities, mentorship and scholarly experiences to prepare them for rewarding careers in primary care, academic medicine and internal medicine subspecialties.

This track is committed to giving graduates the tools and skills to be leaders in whatever specialty or practice setting they choose.
Internal Medicine-Nephrology Track
IM-Nephro Track
This innovative four-year track combines Internal Medicine and Nephrology training, allowing residents to earn board certification in both specialties while accelerating their path to a career in nephrology.
