E-IRB

E-IRB is the University of Kentucky’s Link Blue-secure web-based system used to submit human research applications and other reviews to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for review and approval.

Submitting Tickets

Epic tickets can be submitted in any of the following 3 ways: 

  1. Call the Service Desk at 859-323-8586.   This is helpful in order to escalate something critically broken.

  1. Use the IT Help Button inside of Epic.  This is helpful if there is a patient specific issue in Epic as this sends the patient data in context with the ticket.

  1. Use the red IT Help icon on your desktop.  This is helpful when you need to add an attachment or screenshots to your ticket.

Resources
 

  • Click F1 while logged into Epic to view the Learning Home dashboard with Epic tip sheets, Role Manuals and Quick Start Guides.
  • Monitor or Sign up for the monthly IT Advisory Council Newsletters that include monthly updates from our core governance councils.
  • Use the Epic secure chat group “Informatics Digital Navigator” to send questions about and/or issues with Epic.  Note this is monitored M – F 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and staff will schedule time based on availability.  

Accessing Data

  • Use PACE’s Data Request Portal for all your data needs such as:
     
    • Links for weekly Virtual Office Hours. This should be your first stop for report/data assistance.
    • Links to submit a data request for research data or access to existing reports

 

I2B2

The i2b2 query tool can be used to retrieve de-identified aggregate counts of patient populations that match given criteria. Click here for access to the login, account creation, training, and contacts for questions.
