Cardiovascular Medicine

The University of Kentucky College of Medicine Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is a part of the Linda and Jack Gill Heart and Vascular Institute. Our mission is to provide excellence in patient care, research, education and prevention of cardiovascular disease. As one of the nation's leading cardiovascular research institutes, we are actively seeking treatments for heart failure, atherosclerosis, and coronary heart disease. Scientists have focused their work on the mechanisms causing acute onset of these diseases, while our doctors and nurses are committed to providing the best in treatment and patient care. In addition, we host an annual Cardiovascular Research Day event that highlights advances in science and therapy. We invite you to explore all areas of our division. You will find specialists representing cardiovascular patient care, teaching and research. Please contact us by e-mail if you would like to know more.
