Welcome to the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
The College of Medicine Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism is staffed by 11 clinical faculty, two PhD faculty, and six advanced practice providers. It has a fully accredited fellowship program with two fellows per year for two years. The division provides clinical care in the ambulatory setting for all endocrine diagnoses and provides consultative services for inpatients admitted to UK Chandler, UK Good Samaritan, and Lexington Veterans Affairs hospitals.
The division has an inpatient diabetes consultation team and many diabetes educators providing necessary clinical education in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings. The research activities of the division are focused mainly on diabetes and its complications including cardiovascular complications, bone diseases, and renal complications.
Faculty in the division participate in several research alliance groups and have a leadership role in the research priority area for diabetes and obesity. The division partners with the division of pediatric endocrinology to operate the endowed Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center, which provides comprehensive clinical care, diabetes education, and research across the commonwealth of Kentucky.

About Us
The University of Kentucky Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism offers diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, pituitary disease, and other endocrine disorders. Major areas of interest include the management of glucose, lipids, pituitary, and thyroid disorders. Treatment strategies are enhanced by our focus on clinical research and the utilization of recent advances in molecular medicine, as well as strong emphasis on patient education
