Continuity Clinic

High Quality, Comprehensive, and Cost-Conscious Health Care

We established our first combined med-peds continuity clinic in July 2004 located on UK's main campus. In 2011, we added a continuity clinic located in downtown Lexington named UK Polk Dalton Clinic that cares for a more underserved patient base.

Our clinics are focused on providing high quality, comprehensive, and cost-conscious health care to all patients. All clinics are staffed by med-peds trained physicians who are board-certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. During the first two years of training, all residents have clinic one afternoon half-day per week. Thereafter, residents are scheduled two half-days in clinic each week (one morning and one afternoon). Residents have the same afternoon continuity clinic attending physician throughout their training, which enables our residents to establish a solid foundation of regular patients whom they will follow throughout their entire residency.
