Excellent Patient Satisfaction

The division of general internal medicine has a diverse faculty and staff that provide clinical services, medical education, and research at the University of Kentucky. Community Outreach

The division of general internal medicine's Polk Dalton Clinic, located in Lexington’s downtown/Northside area, provides welcoming and convenient primary care to residents living in that area. This clinic emphasizes patient-focused, culturally sensitive care with an emphasis on meeting patients where they are. In addition to providing primary care, this clinic offers specialized treatment programs, including support for pregnant women with substance use disorder. This clinic also offers the services of an on-site social worker, and a community health worker to connect patients to resources and support services. With the goal of uplifting the Northside community, this mission-driven clinic offers programs and treatment options to support entire families in caring for their health.
