Electrophysiology Fellowship

The clinical cardiac electrophysiology (CCEP) fellowship program is primarily located at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center (UKCMC)/University of Kentucky Gill Heart Institute and is directly affiliated as a subspecialty fellowship under cardiovascular disease (CVD) at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. The CCEP fellowship training program includes the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center and the Gill Heart Institute as its primary training center, with training also at the Lexington Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC).

The CCEP fellowship program will be 24 months in length and will be undertaken after completion of required training for board certification in cardiovascular disease. Under faculty direction, the fellow will assume responsibility for diagnosis and management of patients with a wide variety of cardiac arrhythmias, including bradyarrhythmias, supraventricular and ventricular tachyarrhythmias, those with implanted antiarrhythmic devices, and those with related symptoms such as syncope, presyncope and palpitations.
