Nephrology and Critical Care
The nephrology critical care program at the University of Kentucky offers a unique three-year training pathway for select fellows to become certified in both nephrology and critical care. Our approach offers an integrated experience over the course of training, with several weeks of critical care interspersed throughout the three years of fellowship.. By the end of fellowship, fellows have 24 months of nephrology and 12 months of critical care medicine. The collaboration between faculty in nephrology and critical care has allowed this hybrid training program to thrive for several years, and our experience has helped us offer fellows a chance to individualize their training and find desirable jobs. We look forward to hearing from you and sharing more about this special program.
