Biography and Education
Biography
Dr. Camac is a nationally-active medical educator who transitioned to the University of Kentucky in 2022 to lead the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program. She previously trained and served as faculty at the Temple Lung Center and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Dr. Camac specializes in the clinical care of patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD) and practices comprehensive critical care medicine in the medical intensive care unit.
As an active part of the American Thoracic Society's section on Medical Education, Dr. Camac leads the Pulmonary Core Curriculum and enjoys working with her peers on national projects important to the field. Dr. Camac was awarded a rare honor in 2025, becoming one of only two American Thoracic Society Fellows (ATSF) in the state of Kentucky.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Camac loves natural history and live music. She also loves power tools, home improvement and renovation, and gardening with permaculture.
