Registration is open for “Pediatric Emergencies: Early Assessment and Treatment of Children,” a daylong conference for all clinicians seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in the treatment of pediatric emergencies.
The fifth annual University of Kentucky Pediatric Emergency Medicine Symposium is hosted by the Makenna David Pediatric Emergency Department at UK HealthCare. The symposium will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept.28, in Karpf Auditorium in the UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital. Continuing education credit is available.
Highlights from this year's course include:
- the management of pediatric abdominal pain
- pediatric toxicologic emergencies
- pediatric trauma
- other high-yield specifics to caring for children in the urgent/emergent setting
