Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic
Pulmonologists at the University of Kentucky have a special interest in diagnosing and treating pulmonary hypertension (PH). Pulmonary physicians work in close collaboration with their colleagues in the division of cardiovascular medicine to ensure a multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach to the care of patients with this complex disease. We employ a collaborative approach that involves screening, diagnosis – including right heart catheterization with vasodilator testing, and pharmacologic as well as non-pharmacologic management of PAH - oral and inhaled therapies, intravenous and subcutaneous infusion treatments, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and referral for lung transplant.
