Fellows are welcome to take their ultrasound skills to the next level through our advanced POCUS Track, available to both Critical Care and Pulmonary fellows. Designed to complement the fellowship's advanced ultrasound curriculum, this track provides focused preparation for board certification in Critical Care Bedside Echocardiography while developing mastery of advanced applications such as Venous Excess Ultrasound (VExUS).

Fellows participate in:

  • 10 additional hands-on small-group training sessions
  • Advanced instruction in echocardiography, abdominal, thoracic, and vascular ultrasound
  • In-depth training in venous congestion assessment
  • Review of 45+ curated articles and educational videos
  • Quarterly faculty-led image review sessions
  • Flexible access to a high-fidelity ultrasound simulator for independent practice

This track is ideal for fellows who want to move beyond image acquisition and gain a deep understanding of the evidence that supports bedside ultrasound in clinical practice.
