The Advanced COPD Track is designed for fellows seeking advanced preparation for clinical and leadership roles focused on the care of patients with advanced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in both academic and private practice settings.

Training includes:

  • Noninvasive mechanical ventilation
  • Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction
  • Lung volume reduction surgery
  • Pulmonary rehabilitation
  • Advanced pharmacologic management of COPD

Fellows benefit from collaboration with a dedicated clinical pharmacist and tailored continuity clinic experiences focused on the COPD population. Throughout the track, fellows work closely with core faculty mentors to ensure successful skill development and career preparation.
