Venkata Rajesh Konjeti, M.D., assistant professor of medicine and transplant hepatologist in the division of gastroenterology and hepatology, recently organized and hosted a Walk with the Doc event focused on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) awareness and liver health education.
The walk took place Saturday, September 19, 2026, at The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky. The event brought together community members for a healthy walk and engaging discussions about liver disease prevention, early detection and healthy lifestyle choices.
Through education, advocacy and community outreach, Konjeti highlighted the importance of liver health while raising awareness about HCC and empowering participants to take an active role in their well-being.
