The MD/MBA program is a dual degree with the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University. Founded in 1884, the business school’s strong foundation will give physicians  managerial and financial skills to integrate medicine and business, especially important in today’s ever-changing health care environment, where you may end up managing a group practice, leading a hospital department or contributing to the development of health care policy. Curriculum includes classes in marketing, managerial finance, information technology and data analytics, advanced organizational behavior, strategic business concepts and applications and more. Most students complete the MD and MBA programs in five years, taking the core MBA courses over a one-year period, either after the second or third year of medical school.

Admissions

Students must apply formally and independently to each program and meet the admission requirements of each. Medical students must be in good standing to apply to the MBA Program. Students will work directly with the UK College of Medicine Bowling Green Campus Registrar in order to apply to the Graduate School at WKU.
