Northern Kentucky Campus
The UK College of Medicine-Northern Kentucky Campus, in partnership with St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Northern Kentucky University, welcomed its inaugural class of 35 students in the fall of 2019.
The four-year medical school campus complements educational programs currently offered at the academic medical center on the Lexington campus, the Rural Physician Leadership Program based in Morehead, and the UK College of Medicine-Bowling Green Campus.

In March 2023, the Northern Kentucky Campus celebrated its first residency Match Day — successfully matching each fourth year student into the specialty of their choice. Additionally, in May of 2023, the campus graduated its first class of physicians.
The campus admits 35 students per year, who spend all four years on the Northern Kentucky Campus. Students are part of a cohesive class that has close relationships with the faculty providing on-site teaching.
The curriculum is provided both through livestream from the Lexington Campus, and locally-delivered interactive group teaching in conjunction with faculty at NKU and local physicians from St. Elizabeth Healthcare. Students spend the preclinical years at a newly remodeled facility on the NKU campus. The clinical years are spent rotating through the St. Elizabeth Healthcare facilities and local physician practices.

The small class sizes and supportive staff create an ideal environment to study medicine. Students have several opportunities at this campus to make their mark and leave a lasting legacy. Students should consider our campus if they are passionate about being an integral part of their community and if they excel in smaller academic environments!
The charm of our campus is our connection to the community of NKU and the Northern Kentucky area. It allows us to be more personal and intentional in our classes and service in the area.
