Dear Students,

Congratulations on your admission to the UK College of Medicine!

This is an exciting time. You have your whole medical career ahead of you, and I am thrilled that you’ll be beginning it with us. The UK College of Medicine is dedicated to advancing medicine through education, research, and advanced clinical care across four campuses and multiple departments and programs. Our work toward raising the standards of care has led us to unprecedented growth across our campuses, our education programs, and our research.

Becoming a doctor is quite a journey. When you commit to learning at the UK College of Medicine, our wonderful team will accompany you and support you in your journey. The UK College of Medicine team includes medical students, residents and fellows, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, scientists, clinicians, administrators, and staff, united in our ultimate mission for a better, healthier Kentucky. And now, you are a vital part of that team.

Onboarding Checklist

Entering medical school is a time of great transition. In order to help that transition be as smooth as possible, we have created an “onboarding checklist.” The checklist is helpful to get an idea of what is to come and when the deadlines will be for those actions. Many of the items on the checklist will be explained in more detail via email.

Important Dates

Orientation Week

Save the date! The Office of Medical Education will host a mandatory orientation week on Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31. Make sure you do not have scheduling conflicts for this week.
