120 in 365 Initiative
Through the “120 in 365” initiative, the UK College of Medicine medical student ambassadors visit all Kentucky counties virtually throughout the year to expose high school students to the possibility of a medical career. Through this online meeting and presentation, we aim to make medical education more accessible by showing prospective students realistic paths to a medical degree. This interactive online presentation (via Zoom) gives high school students from every county in Kentucky the opportunity to hear firsthand from current medical students about their personal journey to medicine and why they chose the UK College of Medicine.

Tools of the Trade
The Tools of the Trade 120 in 365 info session provides an overview of the tools medical students use as they begin to learn how to conduct a physical exam. Part of the training students go through in medical school is learning how to conduct an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). Medical students practice on standardized patients to build their clinical skills. This session provides high school students with insight into this early clinical experience.

Learning about Skin Cancer
The Learning about Skin Cancer 120 in 365 info session discusses the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, the most common type of cancer in the country. Detailing the different types of skin cancer and how physicians identify skin cancer on patients, this session also highlights preventative steps to avoiding sun damage.
