The UK College of Medicine is a host institution under the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program.
Fourth-year Medical Students
If you are enrolled as a fourth-year medical student at a school that is accredited by the United States Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), we invite you to apply for an elective at the College of Medicine-Lexington Campus through VSLO.
Visiting Student Application Deadline
All students must apply by the deadline date for each elective enrollment period, as published on the VSLO website. Applications are only accepted through the VSLO system. If you miss the deadline, you are not eligible for an elective at the UK College of Medicine. All students must follow established guidelines and procedures (no exceptions).
Placement Fee
If you are accepted for a visiting student rotation, you will need to pay a one-time $75 placement fee regardless of how many rotations you are doing. When you accept our offer of a rotation, you can visit the online payment option.
