Recommended Timeline (for Undergraduate Students)

Freshman Year

Meet with your college pre-medical advisor to plan your curriculum

Freshman and Sophomore Years

Seek out volunteer activities, shadowing opportunities, or work experiences in the medical professions

Junior Year Spring

Take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). This will give you enough time to repeat the test should you wish to improve your score.

Complete the last of your prerequisite courses

June Before Senior Year

Submit your AMCAS application
