Dedicated Abdominal Radiologists
The division of abdominal radiology consists of a diverse group of dedicated radiologists who subspecialize in the imaging of abdominal and pelvic disorders. Bolstered by state-of-the-art equipment, the division supports a broad range of diagnostic examinations for UK HealthCare and its satellite centers including abdominal radiography, fluoroscopy, abdominopelvic CT, MR, and ultrasonography including contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS). Divisional faculty also perform minor procedures.
The abdominal radiologists at the University of Kentucky are recognized experts with a close consultative relationship with the medical and surgical clinical services of UK HealthCare. The divisional faculty take part in several multidisciplinary care conferences and collaborate on several research endeavors. The division places emphasis on teaching and scholarly activities, providing dedicated tutelage and mentorship in the teaching of radiology to medical students, residents, and fellows.
