The Second Year
The second year’s responsibilities include:
- Management of antepartum patients
- Review of daily non-stress testing results
- Coverage of high-risk four 1/2 day clinics
- Diagnostic and therapeutic amniocentesis
- Fetal ultrasound clinic
Presentation of antepartum patients during attending rounds at 7:15am

Each year, residents experience five-week rotations through various services. As the resident progresses through the residency, the resident will have more independence and responsibility leading up to the fourth year, chief resident.
