The Second Year
The second year resident gains exposure to reproductive endocrinology and infertility by the following:
- One half-day during Baptist Health rotation.
The Chief Year
The chief resident gains exposure to reproductive endocrinology and infertility by the following:
- Two days per week for 10 weeks rotating in Dr. James Akin's clinic at Baptist Health.
- Opportunity to perform transvaginal u/s, uterine inseminations and participate in IVF.

Each year, residents experience five-week rotations through various services. As the resident progresses through the residency, the resident will have more independence and responsibility leading up to the fourth year, chief resident.
