Why did you choose the University of Kentucky?
I chose this program because I thought it was perfect mid size program that will help me develop my skills.
What do you like about your program?
First, the curriculum rorations and options for electives are robust and very vast. The opportunity for mentorship from experienced faculty is invaluable, and I have felt supported throughout my residency so far. Additionally, the diverse and complex patient population will enrich my clinical experience, allowing me to develop essential skills in varied scenarios. I am also excited about the research opportunities available, which enables me to engage in meaningful projects and contribute to the field. Moreover, the program’s commitment to resident well-being and work-life balance is commendable, ensuring that I can thrive both personally and professionally. Lastly, I appreciate the focus on preparing residents for future fellowships, equipping me with the tools I need to succeed in my chosen specialty.
Overall, UK Peds residency program has provided an ideal environment for my development as a physician.
What are your hobbies?
In my free time, I enjoy a variety of activities that keep me active- hiking, traveling and cooking. Hiking allows me to explore the great outdoors, providing a sense of adventure and a chance to connect with nature. Traveling fuels my curiosity, as I love experiencing new cultures, trying local cuisines, and meeting diverse people. Cooking is another passion of mine; I find joy in experimenting with different recipes and ingredients, creating delicious meals that bring friends and family together.
