Faculty Coaching Program
Coaching
Executive coaching is a formal, goal-oriented process where a trained coach collaborates one-on-one with a faculty member to enhance specific skills, address performance challenges, and achieve professional goals. This time-limited and structured relationship aims to bring targeted improvements in leadership, communication, and other key competencies. Recognizing the value of professional coaching, the Department of Pediatrics offers the services of six faculty members trained as professional coaches. This invaluable resource is provided at no cost to our faculty members. If you choose to receive coaching, our faculty coaches will work with you to identify challenges, unlock solutions, and enhance your capabilities and career development.
What a Faculty Coach Does
The responsibilities of an executive coach are diverse and centered around supporting an individual's professional development and growth. Overall, an executive coach plays a crucial role in guiding individuals toward achieving their professional objectives, fostering self-awareness, and facilitating continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
Individuals receiving executive coaching have important responsibilities to ensure the effectiveness of the coaching process. By actively participating in the coaching process and embracing key responsibilities, our faculty members can maximize the benefits of executive coaching, accelerate their professional development, and achieve their desired outcomes.
