Postdoctoral Scholar (Consultation Liaison)
1-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology focused training in assessing and treating medical traumatic stress, medical traumatic stress research, consultation-liaison services, pediatric palliative care, and non-pharmacological treatment of pain will be provided. Depending on fellow’s training goals and needs, there is an option to extend the fellowship position for an additional year. This fellowship provides an opportunity for advanced direct clinical practice, research, and program development in providing psychological services as part of interdisciplinary teams.
This position is designed to have 60-70% clinical time commitment, 15% protected time dedicated to scholarly activities such as research, program development, and/or quality improvement, and 15% protected time for professional development/training activities such as didactic seminars, case consultation, and mentorship.
This Fellowship starts in Summer 2026.
Postdoctoral Scholar (NICU/NACU)
1-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology focused on serving families in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Neonatal Abstinence Care Unit (NACU). Depending on fellow’s training goals and needs, there is an option to extend the fellowship position for an additional year. Psychology services will include inpatient and outpatient consultation and short and long-term intervention services for caregivers and families of babies in the NICU or NACU, routine screening/follow-up of patients through interdisciplinary clinics, and consultation with medical teams. With mentorship, the postdoctoral scholar will be expected to design and execute their own small research project, program development or quality improvement initiative as part of the fellowship as well as participate in ongoing research initiatives.

Postdoctoral Scholar (Developmental Pediatrics)
1-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric psychology focused on the diagnostic assessment and treatment planning of children with a variety of neurodevelopmental concerns, utilizing an interdisciplinary team approach in an outpatient clinic setting. Additionally, fellows will have the opportunity to provide evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy. Depending on fellow’s training goals and needs, there is an option to extend the fellowship position for an additional year.
This position is designed to have 60-70% clinical time commitment, 15% protected time dedicated to scholarly activities such as research, program development, and/or quality improvement, and 15% protected time for professional development/training activities such as didactic seminars, case consultation, and mentorship.
This Fellowship starts in Summer 2026.
Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Pediatric Psychology (Adolescent Medicine - Eating Disorders Focus)
This faculty position will provide both inpatient and outpatient clinical services at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and the Kentucky Children’s Hospital. The responsibilities of this position will be to provide exemplary, state-of-the-art, compassionate care to patients in the department with emphasis on program development focusing on eating disorders as well as LGBTQ+ youth.
This position will also:
- Provide service to both inpatient and outpatients.
- Program development focusing on eating disorders.
- Supervise medical and mental health learners providing services in the outpatient clinics
- Have an active role in the College of Medicine, and in graduate and fellowship training programs.
- Lecture, participate in small group and individual student instruction as required
- Engage in professional development
- Present general pediatric grand rounds once per year and participate in noon conferences
- Support and contribute to the scholarly activities of the Division
Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Pediatric Psychology (Outpatient Pediatric Psychology)
The University of Kentucky is seeking an Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Pediatric Psychology order to maintain and expand the current activity of clinical services in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Psychology. This position will primarily provide clinical psychological services to pediatric patients with a variety of medical conditions. This position will allocate time for clinical research and teaching in pediatric psychology. This position will also provide faculty resources to sustain and expand teaching, advising and other instructional activities for the Pediatric Residency programs and the College of Medicine medical students. This position will be housed in the Division of Psychology for the Department of Pediatrics and will be appointed in the Clinical Title Series, non-tenured track.
This position will provide quality and cost-effective care to patients, teach students and residents, engage in professional development activities, with designated research duties on behalf of the Division of Psychology in the Department of Pediatrics.
