Welcome to the Neonatal PA Residency Program

The Neonatal Physician Assistant Residency at the University of Kentucky is a 12-month, intensive, postgraduate training program designed to prepare physician assistants for independent practice in high-acuity neonatal intensive care units. Our program combines:

  • Hands-on clinical training in a Level IV NICU
  • Structured, case-based didactic curriculum
  • Simulation-based procedural training
  • Mentorship from experienced neonatologists and advanced practice providers

Residents graduate with the knowledge, procedural skills, and clinical judgment required to carefor the most critically ill newborns.
