Frederick Ueland, MD

Dr. Ueland is a graduate of Stanford University and the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the subspecialty of Gynecologic Oncology. Dr. Ueland has a special research interest in the ultrasound evaluation of ovarian tumors, ovarian biomarkers, and ovarian cancer treatment. He is an active translational researcher at the NCI-designated Markey Cancer Center, and was the national Principle Investigator for the OVA1 trial, which resulted in FDA-clearance for the preoperative ovarian tumor blood test in 2009. He is also the Medical Director of Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion and is the Medical Director of Gynecologic Surgery for UK HealthCare.
