UK CERH RECEIVES GOLD FIT-FRIENDLY WORKSITE AWARD FROM THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION

The UK Center of Excellence in Rural Health (CERH) is among an elite group of organizations who have been named as Gold Fit-Friendly Worksites by the American Heart Association. 

“UK CERH received the gold level award upon meeting key criteria that is set forth by the American Heart Association that demonstrate a strong commitment to providing a healthy workplace for employees,” said Dr. Fran Feltner, director of the UK CERH.

“I want to thank the many employees who have participated in making our Center a fit-friendly worksite,” said Feltner.  “Our employee wellness program, options for healthy eating during meetings, learning opportunities and improvements in our environment have all helped to contribute to this important achievement,” added Feltner.

The Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite Award must be reapplied for each year.  UK CERH’s current award is valid until November 1, 2015.
