The Kentucky River Health Consortium was established in December 2017 and is comprised of a variety of agencies from the Kentucky River Area Development District counties (Breathitt, Knott, Letcher, Leslie, Lee, Owsley, Perry, and Wolfe). Partners of the consortium use their collective expertise and resources to address health burdens and barriers in order to move the health care needle in a positive direction for the region.
