Well-Being Committee Mission

The mission of the DFCM wellbeing committee is to create a supportive environment that is responsive to and empowers individuals to meet their wellness needs, both mental and physical, and work towards the overall well-being of the organization and everyone in it.

Well-Being or Wellness?

Wellbeing OR Wellness - Knowing the Difference
Well-Being Wellness
The state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy (external focus) The act of practicing healthy habits daily for better outcomes (internal focus)
Strategic outcome-driven priority of an org Individuals making conscious effort with daily habits
Addresses all aspects of an organization's long-term goals and wellness needs Often sporadic, useful for individuals but less effective in creating org-wide change
