Educational Programs

We have excellent programs that prepares our residents well for a career in family medicine. Our department was established in 1972 the purpose of training family physicians to provide primary care for the state of Kentucky. Since then, our residency programs have graduated more than 260 graduates.

Hazard Residency

The residency program is a community-based, university-administered program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and American Osteopathic Association and approved for four residents in each postgraduate year.
