Faculty Positions

The University of Kentucky is seeking family medicine faculty for our growing department. The department of family and community medicine has a 6/6/6 family medicine residency program in Lexington. Our faculty teaches residents in outpatient and inpatient settings and participates in all four years of medical student education, including a required clerkship in family medicine. Faculty physicians who practice non-surgical obstetrics oversee residents’ deliveries of continuity patients. Our clinical practice, located in a brand new, state of the art facility at the UKHealthcare Turfland Clinic, has achieved Level III NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition.

These activities, plus departmental leadership in rural and community health, a practice-based research network, and departmental leadership throughout the UK College of Medicine afford opportunities for faculty to participate in a variety of innovative programs. Appointment may be in clinical, research or tenure track at rank commensurate with experience.

We offer competitive compensation based on rank and experience and an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental, and life insurance; disability; malpractice; retirement plan; education; paid time off; and more.

See for yourself what makes UK one great place to work! If offered this position, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and undergo a background check as mandated by University of Kentucky Human Resources.

The University of Kentucky is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from minorities and women.
