Sydney Howard, data analyst at the University of Kentucky Center of Excellence in Rural Health (UK CERH), will speak in Washington, D.C., as an invited panelist at “Advancing Rural Health Equity through Partnerships, Data, and Finance,” a hybrid event hosted by the Urban Institute and Partners for Rural Transformation, scheduled for 2-5 p.m., Oct. 18.
According to the Urban Institute, speakers at the event will describe the state of rural health in America and highlight community-driven solutions, showcasing promising service and partnership models and financing practices. Practitioners from across the country will share how they leverage partnerships, data and funding to meet the health needs of diverse rural populations.
Howard will be part of a three-member, moderated panel discussing “Partnerships for Identifying Needs and Tracking Progress on Promoting Rural Health Equity”.
“It is important that we have a voice and presence for rural Kentucky at the national level and we are honored to have Dr. Howard invited to participate. She will bring quality information to share the many good things going on across the rural health landscape in Kentucky,” said UK CERH Director Fran Feltner.
