Check back here for future updates about the 2025 Academy.

Training Tomorrow's EMS Leaders

The academy, which will run for six months, is designed to provide members of the emergency medical services (EMS) profession with the knowledge and skills necessary to take on significant roles and responsibilities in organizations and to succeed. Academy participants will take part in a series of interactive educational sessions and discussions — in both face-to-face and virtual formats — with national experts on trending topics in the field. Participants will also spend time in one-on-one mentoring sessions with a veteran EMS administrator from their region and in one-on-one personal and professional development coaching sessions with a career coach. Academy participants will also complete a group project focused on a key issue in the EMS field.

Participation in the academy is open to all EMS professionals working throughout the Commonwealth — those who are already working in leadership positions, as well as those who may be planning to enter a leadership role in the future.

Sessions begin in January 2024 and will run through June 2024. There is no cost to participate in the academy. A limited number of applicants will be invited to participate.

Academy graduates will receive a scholarship, provided by the Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, to cover the registration fee to attend the 2024 Kentucky EMS Conference and Expo. Graduates will also receive continuing education credits.
