As one of the 15 UK HealthCare teams participating in the annual March for Babies event, UK Surgery Shenanigans did its part to ensure that the organization exceeded its goal of raising $20,000 to support the March of Dimes Foundation.
With a team roster of six persons, Team Surgery Shenanigans raised a grand total of $709. Added to the contributions of others, UK HealthCare raised $20,127.
The event, held at Keeneland, was the first day of sunshine in the Commonwealth after almost two weeks of overcast and rainy days. Organizers estimated that well over 2,000 people participated in the fundraiser.
UK HealthCare teams came from across a variety of departments and clinics. The following is a breakdown of the teams and the money raised: (It should be noted that many of these teams consisted of only a handful of participants.)
