Welcome to the Division of Pediatric Surgery
The division of pediatric surgery provides diagnostic evaluation and treatment for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with congenital anomalies and acquired conditions of the head and neck, chest wall and thorax, abdomen, gastro-intestinal tract, genitourinary system, and extremities. We also see prenatal consults for expectant mothers who know their baby may need surgery in the neonatal period.

We are a division of the University of Kentucky College of Medicine Department of Surgery. Our team consists of board-certified specialists in pediatric surgery and a great support staff. We offer complete pediatric surgical care for children from infancy to the teenage years. We have an active prenatal consultation service, ECMO service and serve as the Level 1 pediatric trauma center for eastern and central Kentucky. We perform the full scope of pediatric surgery including neonatal, thoracic, abdominal and cancer operations and we are leaders in advanced minimally invasive procedures for infants and children. Our division performs an average of 1400 operative cases each year. We look forward to taking care of your family.
