In addition to those completing their chief year this June, several Department of Surgery staff members are celebrating the completion of their academic endeavors this year, and some the beginning of a program. The Department of Surgery offers its well wishes to the following:

Adam Dugan, a research statistician with the Department of Surgery’s Core Research Group, Adam was recently accepted into the College of Public Health’s Epidemiology and Biostatistics Ph.D. program at the University of Kentucky. He has already completed several courses in the program for which he will receive credit.
Hannah Golibersuch, Administrative Services Assistant in the Department of Surgery, completed a Master’s degree in Health Administration from the College of Public Health. She graduated in the beginning of May.
Jennifer Lackey, RN, Associate Director of Ambulatory Clinic Operations, completed the 2016 Executive Healthcare Leadership Certification Program through the Gatton College of Business and Economics at UK.

Margaret Plymale, MSN, RN, Minimally Invasive Surgery Clinical Coordinator for GI-MIS, graduated this May with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the UK College of Nursing.

Casie Stevens, Administrative Associate in the Office of the Department of Surgery Chair, completed an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University last December. She is currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree business program.
Grishma Trivedi, MBBS, MD, Senior Administrative Research Assistant in the Department of Surgery, earned her Master’s of Science (MS) in Medical Sciences from the UK Office of Biomedical Education in the College of Medicine in early May.

Krishna Vyas, Plastic Surgery Research Fellow, received his doctorate in the Clinical and Translational Sciences Ph.D. Program at UK. He will be going to the Mayo Clinic in July to begin his Residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
