On September 1, the UK College of Medicine Dean's Office announced eight new administrative appointments, which included Dr. Jing Li, an associate professor in the UK Department of Surgery.

The appointment of Jing Li, MD, MS, to Associate Director of the Center for Health Services Research and as the new Director of the Office of Value and Innovation in Healthcare Delivery (OVIHD) actually became effective on July 1, 2017.

According to the announcement from UK College of Medicine Dean Robert S. DiPaola, MD, since her arrival at the University of Kentucky and UK HealthCare in 2014 "Dr. Li has co-authored 11 peer-reviewed publications, collaborated on submission of $96.3 million in grant and contract proposals, and currently is principal or co-investigator on funded projects totaling $20 million awarded to the Center for Health Services Research. An expert in quality improvement and data analytics, she has 13 years of experience and expertise in research and quality methodologies, and program implementation and evaluation. She has directed multiple projects to develop community coalitions, promote team-based care, improve care coordination, and enhance in-setting and cross-setting teamwork."

In addition to Dr. Li, the following appointments were also announced:

Renay Scales, Ph.D. joined the UK College of Medicine as Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion.
Michael R. Dobbs, MD, MHCM is named Associate Dean for Statewide and Clinical Initiatives.
Rick R. McClure, MD is the Associate Dean for Medical Affairs.
Michael W. Kilgore, Ph.D. is the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Education and Research
Roberto Cardarelli, DO, MHA, MPH, FAAFP accepted the role of interim chair for the Department of Family and Community Medicine.
Scottie B. Day, MD, FAAP accepted the role of interim chair for the Department of Pediatrics/Physician-in-Chief for Kentucky Children's Hospital.
Melinda Wilson, Ph.D. is Director of Graduate Study - Master of Medical Sciences Graduate Program.
