2019 Class of Chief Residents and Fellows announce post-UK plans

At the end of June, Department of Surgery chief residents and fellows will transition to advanced training or begin their professional surgical practice.
Among the 2019 class, four will enter into advanced fellowship training, four will go into full time practice, another will enter military services at Fort Campbell, and a general surgery resident plans to go into a post surgical residency program in Togo, West Africa.

Dr. Tim Horrell graduated from University of Kentucky College of Medicine in May 2014. He started his General Surgery Residency at the University of Kentucky in July 2014. After graduation, he has a military commitment in Fort Campbell. | |
Dr. Anh-Thu Le graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in May 2012 and started her General Surgery Residency at UK in July 2012. She completed two years of research. She will pursue a CT Surgery Fellowship at Ohio State University. | |

Dr. Michael Totten graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in May 2014.He started his General Surgery Residency at UK in July 2014. He will pursue private practice in Lexington at Lexington Clinic. | |
Dr. Jerald Payden Wallace graduated from University of Alabama School of Medicine in June 2014. He started his General Surgery Residency in July 2014 at Baptist Health in Alabama. He transferred to the University of Kentucky General Surgery Residency Program in July 2016 as a PGY 3. Next year, he will pursue a SCC Fellowship at the University of Kentucky. | |

Dr. Evan Moore will enter a 6-month fellowship at the CaloAesthetics Plastic Surgery Center with Dr. Bradley Calobrace in Louisville. | |
Dr. Duane Wang matched into a 1-year microsurgery fellowship at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. | |
