KYAD-PREP Training
Our Scholars
I hope to obtain a PhD and pursue a career within industry. This training provides me the opportunity to learn from professionals in various careers, gain full-time lab experience, and to enroll in courses to further my knowledge of research topics.
I was drawn to the program for its immersive, hands-on training in Alzheimer’s disease research within a mentored environment. The emphasis on both research and professional development made it the ideal step for me on my path towards a PhD.
As an undergraduate student at Sanders-Brown, I had previously gained laboratory experience and was excited about the opportunity to continue building on it while expanding my exposure to clinical research.
I’m passionate about neuroscience, public health, and education, and would like to pursue a career in these fields. I want to explore these areas and have a better idea of which path to take by the end of this program.
Through this program, I hope to gain valuable experience that deepens my understanding of Alzheimer's disease research while building my professional network with mentors and colleagues.
By exposing me to a variety of career options and real-world applications, the training will allow me to explore different fields and better understand what aligns with my interests and goals.
