Instructions
Eligibility
To be considered, applicants must have completed a baccalaureate degree in biomedical or behavioral sciences with a GPA of at least 2.5.
Unless strongly justified on the basis of exceptional relevance to the NIH, research education programs are used primarily to educate U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
Documents
To apply, you will need to upload a resume and cover letter in PDF format, each 10 MB or less. Later in the review process, promising candidates will be asked to provide references and school transcripts.

While we accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, we will review all applications submitted by Friday, August 21, for the new Fall 2026 cohort.

Process
Review
Our team reviews applications as they are submitted and provides each applicant a status update within two weeks. Promising candidates will be asked to provide references and school transcripts.
Selection
Promising candidates will be notified as spots become available, and at that time, an in-person Zoom interview will be scheduled with our team to select program participants.
Employment
As a UK employee for this one to two-year position, you will undergo a background check and pre-employment screening before hiring is finalized. Relocation support can be determined at this time.
