Hazard, Kentucky:  North Fork Valley Community Health Center

The University of Kentucky is seeking a family medicine faculty member, at the assistant or associate professor level. This position will be located in the UK College of Medicine Department of Family and Community Medicine, within the 4/4/4 rural family medicine residency program in Hazard, Kentucky. Hazard is located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of eastern Kentucky. Our faculty teach residents in both an outpatient and inpatient setting from four different medical schools.

This position will practice non-surgical obstetrics as well as oversee residents’ deliveries of continuity of patient setting and facilitate a rotation site for third and fourth year medical students from four different medical schools. This position will also work with residents to adopt patient-centered medical home principles. The local hospital, Appalachian Regional Healthcare is a regional hospital and is the site for our inpatient service, which consists of 358 acute-care beds. 

Hindman, Kentucky:  June Buchanan Medical Clinic

The UK June Buchanan Medical Clinic is focused on the health and well-being of all members of Knott and surrounding counties. The clinic also provides comprehensive laboratory testing in a safe and timely manner with the results available the next day. All patients at the UK June Buchanan Medical Clinic are treated regardless of their income or ability to pay.

Georgetown, Kentucky:  Georgetown Clinic
