Biography
Harish Ram, MD, serves as the Program Director for the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship and as an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and is a Diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. Ram is actively engaged in departmental education, teaching clinical anesthesia in the operating room to medical students, residents, and fellows. He provides hands-on training in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS), contributes to the development of the POCUS curriculum, and mentors’ residents and cardiac anesthesia fellows.
SPECIAL INTERESTS:
Dr. Ram has a special interest in CIED, management of bleeding in a cardiac surgical patient, ERACS, QA/QI, and cardiac surgical workflow.
