Message from the Residency Program Director

The focus of our residency program is to help you develop the skills and mindset to become a physician, educator, and perioperative leader. When you join the UK anesthesia family, you join a sophisticated residency program, recognized for its educational efforts and innovations. In addition to fostering and advancing all the skills needed in perioperative care, we strive to support the development of passionate physician leaders. The extensive didactics include self-directed learning (‘on the go lectures’), problem based learning, case discussions, subspecialty seminars, and simulation. The UK Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine focuses on education and training and every facet of the department reflects our educational mission: Great care for patients.
