The operative volume, diversity in cases and presentations, autonomy, and wide range of patient health literacy piqued my interest in UK. Then, during my interview, the residents' kindness and friendship was undeniable. Already after one year, I've seen cases - and done waaay more than - I would have never seen or done at larger metropolitan institutions, mostly because of the variety of patients we see from more rural areas. I feel supported by my co-residents, who make work fun even when the days are hard.
