Goals for PGY 1 Academic Year: Learn as much as possible to aid in the ulterior years.
Goals for Residency: Be the best neurologist I can be while teaching students and learning from renowned faculty members.
Career Plans: Stroke Fellowship or a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship, but always at an Academic Institution.

Research Interests: Stroke Rehabilitation; Stroke Prevention; Influence of Excercise and Sleep Hygiene in Neurological Diseases; Evidence-Based Learning Techniques; Meditation and Behavioral Outcomes.
Personal Statement: Dr. Yepez graduated from Medical School at the Catholic University of Guayaquil, during which he developed a strong interest in academia as a Teaching Assistant of Neuroanatomy and Neurology. His interest in Neurosciences resides in his family's previous experience with Stroke during high school and the fact that arguably there's no medical specialty that relies so much on Physical Exam as Neurology. He's also been a Research Assistant at the University of Iowa and has published research papers related to different topics of Neurology.
